UK COFFEE WEEK is a week-long fundraising campaign that encourages businesses within the coffee industry to come together and raise money for the communities at its source.

Here at Edgcumbes we talk a lot about the back stories of each of our coffees. We have met several coffee farming communities and ensure that all our coffee is sustainably sourced – not just environmentally but socially too. So we are donating 10p for every cup of coffee sold at The EDGE Cafe in Ford and EDGE by the Sea in Littlehampton, this weekend (24 & 25th October 2020).

This year more than ever, our industry has faced some pretty tough challenges. As a consumer, you would have seen the closure of coffee shops and restaurants but the challenges faced by coffee growers are much greater. Small communities across the world have been hit by COVID-19, effecting coffee farming and even impacting international shipping – meaning their crops may not even reach destination.

Over 500 billion cups of coffee are consumed each year! So we have the power to make a difference for our coffee growing communities. UK COFFEE WEEK shifts the focus to these communities by asking businesses to get involved and fundraise for this much needed cause.

After all, without these inspirational and passionate communities, we would not be able to enjoy our morning coffees.

Every penny raised goes straight towards PROJECT WATERFALL – working to end the water crisis in our lifetime.

Visit the UK COFFEE WEEK website to get involved in coffee masterclasses and enter their competit

ions for a chance to win some great prizes. You can donate £3 by texting the word ‘COFFEE’ to 70331 or click here to donate online. Remember we are also donating 10p for every cup of coffee sold at our cafes this weekend! So make sure to get involved.
